Dancing with the Divine

A Witch’s work is never done

The parts we play are not always fun

So let’s strike the hammer while the metal is hot

And hold my hand as we give all we’ve got

To find the sacred and honor it right

And dance under the sky night by night

Let us tap our power found deep inside

Let no one convince us we have to hide

We fight for our children and our place in this world

Let us hold strong as hope unfurls

We are who we are meant to be

Let anyone who denies us our Gods be sorry

Tap into the energy found all around us

Feeling the beats of this complex music is a rush

Twist and dance in the arms of the Earth

To honor and celebrate our own sense of worth

Feel the magic in our every heartbeat

As we spin our our magic with Nature throbbing at out feet

Reaching for the Divine fills us with awe

Even as everyday living rubs us raw

To remember our path through troubles is hard

But to stand proud before our Gods is such a reward

So let us link hands and sing to the night sky

Let us rediscover the magic that makes our spirits fly

Through pain, joy, reward and justice

We all walk away proudly from the false path’s precipice

Thinking for ourselves we open our eyes

To see our world lit by a new sunrise

Feel the power flow through our veins

As we tip our heads back to savor sun and rain

Light and Dark both swirl in balance

Let us remember what is needed in our stance.

About darkbookworm13

I am a proud mom to 3 beautiful girls, and married to the love of my life. I have been a practicing Witch since the summer of 2003, having studied many different paths over the years, ranging from Wicca, Goddess only worship (courtesy of StarHawk), Eclectic Paganism, Kitchen Witchcraft, Norse Paganism, Hearthcraft, Spiritual Luciferianism, and more. I have worked with the Futhark runes, Brian Froud's Faeries Oracle deck, Tarot decks, and I am currently working on a customized divination set based on collected items. I like to work with herbs, and gardening. I crochet and make handicrafts like wood burned items, paintings, drawings, toys, and hand sewn doll clothes for my daughters. The only title I call my spiritual path is Witchcraft, as using magic entwines deeply with the worship of the Gods who call me Their own. My Patron deity is Loki, who has chosen me as His kin.
