July for Loki Day 1

Last summer I came upon several people posting artwork, poems, prayers, and articles offered to Loki during the month of July. Generally Loki doesn’t get honored with holidays, or feasts, so many Heathens or Pagans who are drawn to Him feel the burning need to undo that and so they dedicate an entire month for worshiping Him.

I hadn’t gotten to participate last year, so this year I wanted to make a different post each day, to expand my relationship with Him, and to offer my musings, thoughts, or prayers for others to see and benefit from. For day one, I present this:

Hail Loki, my beloved friend and mentor.

Hail Loki, the voice bringing light into my darkness.

Hail Loki, my parent and protector.

Hail Loki, flame haired trickster.

Hail Loki, blood brother to Odin.

Hail Loki, father to many great and small.

Hail Loki, mother to Sleipnr, one of my Patrons.

Hail Loki, He who has tasted madness, and brings me into sanity.

Hail Loki, my friend and kin.

About darkbookworm13

I am a proud mom to 3 beautiful girls, and married to the love of my life. I have been a practicing Witch since the summer of 2003, having studied many different paths over the years, ranging from Wicca, Goddess only worship (courtesy of StarHawk), Eclectic Paganism, Kitchen Witchcraft, Norse Paganism, Hearthcraft, Spiritual Luciferianism, and more. I have worked with the Futhark runes, Brian Froud's Faeries Oracle deck, Tarot decks, and I am currently working on a customized divination set based on collected items. I like to work with herbs, and gardening. I crochet and make handicrafts like wood burned items, paintings, drawings, toys, and hand sewn doll clothes for my daughters. The only title I call my spiritual path is Witchcraft, as using magic entwines deeply with the worship of the Gods who call me Their own. My Patron deity is Loki, who has chosen me as His kin.
