Loki Day 2

Loki’s Smile

A glimmering flame etched with mirth, a chuckling breath hidden beneath green eyed madness. Stiffened scars tug as His lips pull back to reveal a feral grin that pins me down and leaves me breathless. Seeking solace, finding laughter, my heart sings in His presence, and my skin warms beneath His gaze. A razor’s edge has nothing on the flicker of joy dancing across His face, a teasing after-image that feels like staring at the sun. My eyes close in joy at His laughter, my own laugh is pulled into an intricate tango with His into the ether.

Each day I awaken with His smile behind my eyelids, and seek to inspire it again and again as each day ages, dies, and is reborn. I seek out making Him bubble with humor and joy the way the plants in my windows reach for light. His attention would incinerate others, but only forms me into a blossoming lily of flames. Until He awoke my spirit, I had long forgotten how to smile. Now my heart is ever grinning at secret whispers, holding His smile close like a hidden pearl, fueling me with renewed peace each day.

About darkbookworm13

I am a proud mom to 3 beautiful girls, and married to the love of my life. I have been a practicing Witch since the summer of 2003, having studied many different paths over the years, ranging from Wicca, Goddess only worship (courtesy of StarHawk), Eclectic Paganism, Kitchen Witchcraft, Norse Paganism, Hearthcraft, Spiritual Luciferianism, and more. I have worked with the Futhark runes, Brian Froud's Faeries Oracle deck, Tarot decks, and I am currently working on a customized divination set based on collected items. I like to work with herbs, and gardening. I crochet and make handicrafts like wood burned items, paintings, drawings, toys, and hand sewn doll clothes for my daughters. The only title I call my spiritual path is Witchcraft, as using magic entwines deeply with the worship of the Gods who call me Their own. My Patron deity is Loki, who has chosen me as His kin.
