Gloriously 80% better

I have returned from my recent jaunt through an URI at about 80% back to normal. I only have a residual cough, and my head no longer feels like a leaky wound wrapped in soggy wool.

On a side note, yesterday was supposed to be Ragnarok, and my husband showed me a funny picture in regards to it, so I want to share it here as well.

We survived! Woohoo!

In other news, I go back to college this week, and tomorrow is supposed to be the day I receive the replacement of the stolen books. I really hope they arrive, I will be very upset if they are stolen once again. I will probably round up my neighbors and start beating them all until my books fall out…

Here is hoping it doesn’t come to that, I don’t have a sturdy enough whompin’ stick.

About darkbookworm13

I am a proud mom to 3 beautiful girls, and married to the love of my life. I have been a practicing Witch since the summer of 2003, having studied many different paths over the years, ranging from Wicca, Goddess only worship (courtesy of StarHawk), Eclectic Paganism, Kitchen Witchcraft, Norse Paganism, Hearthcraft, Spiritual Luciferianism, and more. I have worked with the Futhark runes, Brian Froud's Faeries Oracle deck, Tarot decks, and I am currently working on a customized divination set based on collected items. I like to work with herbs, and gardening. I crochet and make handicrafts like wood burned items, paintings, drawings, toys, and hand sewn doll clothes for my daughters. The only title I call my spiritual path is Witchcraft, as using magic entwines deeply with the worship of the Gods who call me Their own. My Patron deity is Loki, who has chosen me as His kin.

  1. Ariel says:

Hope you get your books back soon! 🙂

  2. We’ve been giggling about the supposedly scheduled end of the world, ala Nordic legend. I was kind of hoping Fenrir would show up for a snack in the form of my plump succulent next door neighbor — he of the midnight til thee a.m. slamming doors and blaring stereos, but so far, no such luck!

    • I can understand that, we have some *ahem* unsavory neighbors of various kind, and I would happily feed them to Fenrir if the opportunity came up.

Especially the ones who stole my package the other day.

Oh, yeah…those kind! The only reason our neighbor no longer walks thru our gates is that one of our dogs can do a passable Fenrir imitation.

      • Our apartment complex doesn’t give any private yard space or anything more than nominal privacy. We often see people walking about outside our windows, including kids playing right outside, or peeking in.

We aren’t allowed to put up fences, otherwise I would plant a hedge perimeter of blackberry bushes and wild rose bushes.

Sadly we lack any canine companions to help keep intruders out, only a cat who mournfully meows to be let outside whenever something exciting happens.

      • syrbal-labrys says:

My cat is mournful right now…she wants up into an open window airing the house out on a rarely warm day! So I am familiar with that scenario.
