Happy Mother’s Day Loki

This Mother’s Day has crept up on me, it feels like I was just writing about last year’s celebration, and suddenly BAM… Here we are at this year’s revelry.

So far today has gone well, my husband baked cinnamon rolls for breakfast, my eldest presented her homemade gift (a recycled paper ice cream cone shape filled with flower seeds), I got to play some video games, got a shower, and then had my husband take a nap while I went for a walk with the goblins. I also started a baked dinner, but it is still not done yet. It is baked chicken with rice and veggies, with spices and soy sauce mixed in with the rice. **Update** It was plain, and generally bleh. Everything on its own was ok, but all together was merely passing.

I offered Loki some of my breakfast (yogurt, fresh strawberries, whipped cream, and strawberry sauce), some fresh water, and I will offer a portion of my food at dinnertime. I might also offer Him some ice cream, since His candy bowl has gotten quite full lately…

I haven’t made any headway on setting up a personal shrine for Him yet, but during my time outside I cleared out some dead branches, swept the back patio, and dug out a bunch of old garden debris from this winter. Next I will get started on the shrine and craft-room this coming week.

Hail Loki, on this day celebrating mothers everywhere.

About darkbookworm13

I am a proud mom to 3 beautiful girls, and married to the love of my life. I have been a practicing Witch since the summer of 2003, having studied many different paths over the years, ranging from Wicca, Goddess only worship (courtesy of StarHawk), Eclectic Paganism, Kitchen Witchcraft, Norse Paganism, Hearthcraft, Spiritual Luciferianism, and more. I have worked with the Futhark runes, Brian Froud's Faeries Oracle deck, Tarot decks, and I am currently working on a customized divination set based on collected items. I like to work with herbs, and gardening. I crochet and make handicrafts like wood burned items, paintings, drawings, toys, and hand sewn doll clothes for my daughters. The only title I call my spiritual path is Witchcraft, as using magic entwines deeply with the worship of the Gods who call me Their own. My Patron deity is Loki, who has chosen me as His kin.
